A Fun Month-Long Challenge
This is my 5th year of doing June Dresses and boy have I had a blast every June challenging myself to wear a dress.
I love the mission of June Dresses as it stands for things that I firmly believe in.
That’s not to mention that it’s a fun way to ring in summer and a fun challenge of wearing a dress every day. For as long as I can remember, I have loved the feeling of spinning around in a dress and to have the opportunity every June to do just that is the icing on the cake.
Another thing I find is fun is being able to look back at past Junes to see what I was doing that particular year and to see how things have changed since I’ve been doing it for so long.

On another note, I thought that I would take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been my photographer for the last few years. Though there have been many over the years, there is one in particular that I wanted to thank. My dad.
Help from Dad

He has been the real MVP of making my June Dresses posts a reality as he has taken probably 95% of my pictures over the years.
At the time of writing this, it’s Father’s Day 2019 and since I’m doing a takeover on the June Dresses Instagram account, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank him. Not just for taking almost every one of my pictures but for everything he has done for my siblings and me over the years.
He has been our #1 cheerleader, our shoulder to cry on, he went to every sports game or tournament, every dance competition and recital, and every band concert. My dad has given me every opportunity that he has been able to.
Whether it was to enhance my education through going to college and encouraging my love of reading and escaping to a different world through books or teaching me how to work a drill, the difference between a Phillips and a Robertson screwdriver or how to safely operate a bandsaw.
Whether it was driving us down to Disneyland or across Canada, he has always encouraged us to keep on learning in every way we can.
Every time we’ve looked back, he has been there. He was and is always there for us. He has always supported us and where we want our lives to go. He made our house the home that it still is to this day.
He did it all by himself and made the absolute best of a situation nobody wanted and made sure that we missed out on as little as possible. He was and is a real Mr. Mom.
It’s because of all of these reasons that I am able to do June Dresses every year, as I am fortunate enough to have a Dad that has always supported us.
